Oliver made his debut in 2007 aged 11, taking a wicket in his first over in senior cricket against Ovingham in the Sunday team. Next played in the 2010 Sunday season aged 14 and made his 3XI debut against Ashington.

Took 4 wickets in 4 balls, all bowled, for the U-15s against Seaton Burn in July 2011. 2012 saw Oli, take on extra responsibilities at the club as he started helping with the Junior practices on a Sunday morning, his work here along with a second eleven debut saw him win the Parker Junior Trophy for the season.

Made his 1XI debut in the Armin cup against Swalwell dismissing 2 former first class cricketers in his 2-20.

In the Eagles first cup match of 2015 he recorded the best figures for the side, 6-16 against High Stables, taking the record off his brother Ashley. Followed up in the Sunday team a few weeks later with 6-20 against Genetics, the best figures in the team in matches with an over limit.

Played no matches in the Covid-19 affected 2020 season. Took 5 wickets for 5 runs in the 3XI match against Monkseaton in July 2024, the best figures for the side since the over limit was reduced to 5 overs.

Took 6-31 against Allendale1XI for the 2XI in 2026, his first five wicket game for the side and the best figures for the 2XI in matches against First Eleven's
