Ben joined the club at the start of the 2025 season, his tally of 473 runs in the 2XI during the season just the 13th time a player had scored over 450 in a single season for the team.

Passed 500 runs for the 2XI in 2026 including 2 scores of 88 just the 7th time a player has scored 500 in the 2XI and just the fifth different player to the landmark.

Called up into the 1XI Ben scored 92 against Swalwell getting out off the last ball of the innings before scoring his first century, an unbeaten 130* opening against Matfen. During the game he became the first player to record 3 consecutive 50+ partnerships in the same innings for Ponteland. 109 with Intisaar Faza (1st wicket), 85 with Jonny Appleby (2nd) and 87 with Iftikhaar Fazal (3rd)

Ben finished the2026 season with over 500 runs in the season for the 2XI and over 250 in the 1XI, the first time any player has achieved this
