Aged 12 years and 10 months, Thomas made his debut in 2013 in the Midweek 3XI, taking 2 for 24 in 6 overs and during the course of the year became the youngest player ever to appear in the 2XI, 3XI and Eagles, at that time Oliver Parker still held the Sunday team record aged 11.

Became the youngest ever 1XI player in the NTSL at 13 years 11 months in the cup match against Alnmouth & Lesbury in June 2014 only to be overtaken by Ryan Gerrard a week later.

Scored 94 against Alnmouth and Lesbury and finished the 2015 season with 400 runs in the 2XI and took the batting trophy. After a couple of seasons away from playing returned in 2019 and scored his maiden 100 for the 1XI in the promotion clinching win over Backworth in September 2021 taking part in his second century partnership in consecutive weeks after adding 143 with Inti Fazal. Won the Lawson Rosebowl for the performance
