Peter made his debut while an Under 15 player in 2005, his first appearance being for the 2XI against Newcastle City. Finished 2006 as the leading wicket taker in the friendly side and was a regular in the 2XI for the 2007 season.

Made his 1XI debut in the home game against Burnopfield in August 2009. Missed start of the 2010 season away at University but scored his first ever fifty in the 3XI game at Ashington in June, equalling the Midweek team 6th wicket partnership. Started keeping regularly and equalled the friendly team record with four dismissals in a match against Victorians in August with 3 catches and a stumping.

Scored fifties in 2011 for the Sunday team (twice) in averaging 100 for the season. Also scored his first Eagles fifty and then his maiden 2XI fifty in the title winning match at Seaton Burn.
